What is a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) Designation?
The CGR designation is an exclusive professional recognition awarded by the National Association of Home Builders and Remodelers to those remodelers who demonstrate exceptional business integrity, technical competence, and a solid track record of customer satisfaction. To qualify, letters of recommendation, proof of licensing and insurance, and agreement to a strict Code of Ethics must be provided. Ongoing education is required to keep current with product and technology development.

What is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist? (CAPS)
The CAPS designation awarded National Association of Home Builders and Remodelers are national credentials, which recognize a high level of professional expertise in the area of Universal Design. Recipients have completed specialized training and passed an exam demonstrating proficiency in the evaluation and strategic design and building of aesthetically enriching, barrier-free living environments, planning for physical and mobility changes that occur with aging. To earn the certification, one must complete a series of coursework, pass an exam, and commit to ongoing education to keep current with strategies and products available to help homes be accessible, and maximize the length of time homeowners can safely live independently.
