High Protein French Onion Dip

Cottage Cheese is having a moment, and whipping it for a base for the French onion dip keeps it silky, as well as light an airy. Its so easy to make and healthier than store bought!
High Protein French Onion Dip
Total Time: 35 minutes | Serves 18
Ingredients
- 2 TBSP avocado oil
- 3 cups chopped sweet onions
- 1 16-ounce container full-fat cottage cheese
- 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tap balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
Directions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes until starting to soften. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir occasionally, until the onions are golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, if needed, to keep the onions from burning.
- Transfer the onions to a medium bowl; let cool until closer to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, place cottage cheese in a food processor and process on High until smooth and creamy, about 1 minute. Add Worcestershire, garlic powder, vinegar, onion powder and pepper; pulse until well blended. Add to the bowl of onions and stir until mixed.
- Serve at room temperature or refrigerate for 1 hour and serve chilled.
